Since it’s debut in 1884, Fresno County’s Big Fresno Fair always sparks the interest of guests of all ages. From bopping along to catchy tunes at concerts to betting on intense horse races, Fresno’s largest annual event undoubtedly brings fresh spectacles for visitors to enjoy each year.
As the Fair exhibits an array of possibilities, guests cannot help but get caught up in all that the occasion cooks up for them. None can resist the warm welcome of a jumbo corn dog, the sugary aroma of cotton candy wafting through the air, or the first bite into a savory cinnamon roll. Moments like these bring back nostalgic memories for locals awaiting the annual occurrence.
While these classic fair foods are easy to point out, others offer a bit of a twist. This week on Friday Favorites, Josh Burton explores the 165 acre fair in search of out of the ordinary edibles. While some may turn green at the sight of these wacky concoctions, others look forward to venturing outside of their usual food groups.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to try these bizarre eats, be sure to check them out on this week’s edition of Friday Favorites.
